Lightware extends TPN platform to 100 endpoints with TPN-MMU-X100

We have expanded the scalability of our 10G TPN AV-over-IP platform with the introduction of the new TPN-MMU-X100 Matrix Management Unit, enabling systems with up to 100 TX/RX endpoints. The TPN-MMU-X100 supports Lightware’s Taurus TPN, HDMI-TPN and HDMI-OPTN endpoint families, as well as USB20-1GBE USB extenders, bringing centralized management of the complete TPN system into a single interface.
Designed to simplify the deployment and operation of larger SDVoE-based TPN systems, the TPN-MMU-X100 combines an integrated SDVoE Control Server with Lightware’s centralized management interface, bringing endpoint discovery, device configuration, signal routing and network management into one place.
Now shipping, the TPN-MMU-X100 represents an important milestone for the TPN platform, enabling it to support larger and more complex distributed AV systems and giving system designers and integrators greater flexibility when scaling their installations.

The TPN-MMU-X100 is designed to simplify the configuration and management of large TPN systems. Its centralized device management interface, with built-in device discovery, gives integrators a clear overview of all TPN endpoints, making it easy to identify, name and configure devices before assigning them to signal routes. Lightware-specific settings, including RS-232, can also be configured directly from the same interface.
Once the endpoints are configured, the MMU provides centralized crosspoint routing for video, audio and USB. Integrators can independently create and modify signal paths between transmitters and receivers from a single interface, bringing the entire routing workflow into one environment and simplifying the management of larger TPN deployments.
Advanced network management tools support both automatic and static IP addressing while helping identify potential network incompatibilities during deployment. The MMU can also operate across AV and corporate network environments, helping integrators deploy TPN systems within existing network infrastructure across applications including large meeting facilities, auditoriums and university campuses.
For third-party control and automation, the TPN-MMU-X100 provides a Lightware API as a centralized integration point for the TPN system, extending the capabilities of the underlying SDVoE Control Server and simplifying integration with wider control environments. Built-in LARA support further adds communication and monitoring capabilities within the MMU interface.
