Lightware's GPIO button is designed to provide a reliable physical control button with 3-color feedback light. It can be connected to Lightware devices equipped with GPIO ports, to trigger any room control action upon the button press in LARA or Event Manager.

Details

The GPIO-Button-10S is a dedicated GPIO button for Lightware systems, created to enable straightforward “press-to-action” control scenarios in AV and room automation environments. By connecting the button to a compatible Lightware device’s GPIO interface, the button press can be used as an input condition to initiate predefined control actions, supporting easy-to-use local control without requiring a separate complex control processor for basic tasks.

Up to 2 buttons can be connected to a 6-GPIO Lightware device (like the Taurus/MMX2 range), each unit uses 1 GPIO as input for the button press, and 2 GPIOs as output for the feedback LED. Once connected, the device can be configured in LARA or Event Manager.

Typical use cases include triggering room/AV actions such as "Show Me", "Mute/Unmute", "Device On/Off", or other custom automation sequences configured on the host device.
